Carbon dioxide is routinely singled out as the climate villain, but it makes up only a tiny fraction of Earth’s atmosphere. Even so, we often hear that rising CO₂ levels will accelerate global warming. In this video, we take a closer look at the concept of CO₂ saturation—how carbon dioxide molecules can only absorb so much heat before additional CO₂ makes little to no difference.
New findings from atmospheric scientists at prestigious institutions like MIT and Princeton suggest that we may have already hit the saturation point. So does boosting CO₂ beyond current levels truly spell doom for the planet, or is its warming power already maxed out? Watch now to decide for yourself.
